Hey there! I'm Kelsey.

I’m a product designer currently based in Seattle. I recently earned a Master’s Degree in Human-Computer Interaction & Design from the University of Washington where I honed my skills in user-centered research, strategy, and design. As a deeply curious person, I love researching and learning about new topics and connecting with people to understand how they think. My strengths lie in collaborating with others to sift through ambiguity and solve complex problems.

My path to design has been a circuitous route with an overall goal to combine my passions for helping people and being creative. Before pursuing a career in design, I worked at tech security startups, leading social media marketing, website content management, and event coordination. Being on small teams with limited turnaround time, I learned to just jump in, figure things out, and make things myself, strengthening my skills in visual design, content creation, and project management.

Prior to working in marketing, I graduated with a BA in Liberal Studies: Teacher Preparation, with hopes of creating impact in children’s lives through elementary education, honing my skills in evidence-based research and information architecture. Each of my career pivots have been driven by my desire to understand complex problems and create human-centered solutions that have a positive impact on people’s daily lives.

When I'm not at my desk, I'm curling up with a good book or cult documentary, obsessing over my plants, or enjoying the elusive Seattle sunlight.
